30 Day Shred Challenge – day 5

So today was another rest today, like I assumed it would be. I had my anatomy test today and I’m pretty sure I got a C on it if I’m lucky. There goes my 91% in the class. Makes me sad.

On a good note, I don’t feel hardly sore at all today! YAY! On an even BETTER note, I lost 5 lbs so far. Starting weight 192.4, weight as of this morning 186.8! I’ve been watching my diet as well, and have been logging my calories on www.sparkpeople.com (great site!).

A few months before I went on a 3 month diet and didn’t lose but 5 lbs. I only at 1200-1300 calories (faithfully!). I was in the perfect mindset. I also exercised at least 3 day a week, but the weight just didn’t come off. So this time, my diet of counting calories has changed. I’ve added more protein (trying to get at least 60 grams a day). I try to not eat a lot of bread, and if I do I keep it whole wheat. I still eat plenty of carbohydrates, enough to fuel my body for the next day’s burn!  Also, I’m eating 1400-1600 calories instead. The new twist to my counting calories, is that I’m trying to change the amount of calories I eat a day to help boost my metabolism. So for two days I’ll try to eat 1400 calories, and then one day I’ll eat 1600, and then go back to the 1400. I’m just trying to do something different, because what I did last time wasn’t working. Also, of course, I’m incorporating way more exercise and strength traning, hence the 30 Day Shred Challenge.

Tomorrow: On to day 4 of shredding! See ya then…
